Biography – Frank Eve

Frank Eve has spent the last 30 years in the Financial Services industry. He spent his early career with American Banks including Citibank and Manufacturer’s Hanover before becoming a founding Director of Mortgage Trust Ltd in 1986. Mortgage Trust Ltd was purchased by First National Building Society in 1994 and went on to purchase The Mortgage Corporation before the Group floated on the London Stock Exchange as First Active Plc in 1998. Whilst at First Active Frank had a number of roles including Business Development Director of First Active Financial Ltd and Managing Director of First Active Financial Advisers Ltd (its IFA subsidiary). The company was renowned for innovation within the market and Frank lead the team that was responsible for the launch of the first flexible mortgage and the first current account mortgage in the UK. He left the group in 1999 to start his own Internet Company, Flex-e-mortgage Ltd. This company was sold to Eloan Ltd in 1999. Eloan was a joint venture between Eloan Inc, an online loans provider in the USA, and News International. He went on to become Managing Director of Eloan (UK) Ltd before launching Frank Eve Consulting Limited in 2001. As an independent expert within the mortgage market, Frank writes on a regular freelance basis for Mortgage Strategy and Lending Strategy.
