The TCF Info website is currently supported by 15 mortgage lenders, who make up the TCF Lender Forum: Member brands

The TCF Info forum came together as a result of a shared desire to offer intermediaries a single, neutral and highly practical source of information on TCF, dedicated to the mortgage market. By pooling resources, the lender forum felt that it would be able to offer its introducers impartial, timely, and highly effective support in this important area. This was judged as especially important from 2006 as FSA inspections of mortgage firms looking specifically at TCF implementation were set to increase. Research carried out by TCF Info supporters amongst their intermediaries revealed considerable confusion about what TCF really meant for their business and about what they should be doing on a day to day basis to implement it. Much of what is on this site is informed by that research, and there will be more to come in the future as we continue to canvass introducer ideas and needs and take in feedback from lenders’ ongoing shared experiences. In particular TCF Info’s supporters recognise that the neutral platform offered by TCF Info provides an opportunity to address and explore situations in which TCF principles and lending criteria may appear to conflict (a concern raised by brokers) and to offer possible solutions based on best practice. We intend to build up our mortgage Case Study section further to offer more examples in this area, and will continue to provide links to relevant information on the FSA website as more become available. This is excellent news for intermediaries and their customers. By helping drive change that supports TCF amongst intermediaries lenders are not only evidencing their own commitment to the TCF principle, they will also help reduce the likelihood of issues being identified during FSA visits which may result in tighter firm-based or industry-wide regulation. The Council of Mortgage Lenders facilitates the involvement of lenders in the TCF Lender forum. The TCF Info web site and Lender Forum is managed by Frank Eve Consulting Limited.
